PALS Instructor

Course Description

This 8 hour American Heart Association course is designed to give experienced PALS providers the skills necessary to teach others to provide Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Instructor candidates will learn how to deliver the PALS content through role-play scenarios and class discussions of teaching techniques and strategies. Upon successful completion of the course, PALS instructor candidates will be monitored teaching a PALS course. After successful completion of monitoring, the PALS instructor candidate will be issued an Instructor Certification Card good for a 2 year cycle. Instructor candidates must have a current PALS Provider card, be affiliated with an AHA Training Center and must complete the online AHA PALS Instructor Essentials course prior to attending this course.
