PEWAUKEE, Wis. (Monday, Nov. 11, 2024) – Waukesha County Technical College is excited to welcome guests to the main Pewaukee campus for its fall open house on Thursday, Nov. 14, from 3-7 p.m., for a taste of the WCTC student experience.
The event is designed to share with potential students and their families details about the College and its 170-plus areas of study, including certificate, associate degree, technical diploma and apprenticeship programs.
WCTC staff will be on hand to talk about new programs, including the artificial intelligence degree program and certificates, among others, and new spaces, such as the sophisticated Applied AI Lab, which opened earlier this fall. Visitors are encouraged to check out the many modern, remodeled spaces on campus, along with new, cutting-edge equipment, tools, simulators and machines used by students in a wide range of programs.
Event highlights
Open house guests can stop by at any time during the four-hour event to:
- Tour state-of-the-art training labs and facilities.
- Participate in hands-on, interactive activities and view industry-specific projects.
- Make connections with WCTC instructors and staff.
- Talk with representatives from Admissions, Registration, Financial Aid, Advising and other areas.
- Get an up-close and personal look at specific programs of study.
The event will also feature multiple breakout sessions where guests will be able to learn about how to navigate the admissions and financial aid process, discover the many campus resources for student success, explore the numerous dual enrollment opportunities that allow high school students to take college classes, and so much more. Guests will also learn about student and professional organizations available on campus and have the opportunity to stop in the esports lab.

Open house participants will receive a $30 voucher to waive their WCTC application fee along with a coupon good for 20 % off select items at the WCTC Bookstore. Additionally, the College will be awarding three $500 scholarships to randomly selected open house participants who submit their application to WCTC by Friday, Nov. 22. Scholarship winners will be announced on Monday, Dec. 2. (Some conditions apply.)
The event will be held at WCTC’s main campus, 800 Main Street, Pewaukee; the main check-in area will be in the Anthony J. Natalizio (AJN) Center in Building S.
