Camp Guidelines
Students must wear long pants and closed-toed shoes (i.e. sneakers) daily. Students not dressed appropriately may not be able to participate in that day's planned activities.
To ensure a positive experience and safety for all students, attendees are expected to adhere to the following camp guidelines:
- Use lab equipment only under the direction and guidance of an instructor.
- Treat all participants with respect.
- Follow the directions of all WCTC staff and activity leaders.
- Refrain from cell phone use during instruction and activities.
- Use appropriate language.
Students demonstrating behavior that interferes with the safety or learning experiences of other camp participants will be removed from the program, and no refund will be given.
Cancelation/Refund Policy
Refunds may only be made when written notice of cancelation and a request for refund is received 60 days prior to the first day of camp. All requests for refunds must be in writing and emailed to camps@wctc.edu.
Medical or Emergency Circumstances
In some cases, refunds may be granted after the cancelation and refund period for medical or emergency circumstances. A written notice of cancelation with an explanation of medical or emergency circumstances must be provided to camps@wctc.edu for a refund request to be considered. Partial or full refunds for medical or emergency circumstances will be at the discretion of WCTC after reviewing the request.
Inclement Weather
Some activities may be canceled when weather conditions are unsuitable. Alternative activities will be provided. Camp sessions are held regardless of weather, but programs may be modified due to inclement weather. Refunds are not given when activities are canceled due to inclement weather.
Session Cancelation
If a program is canceled due to insufficient enrollment, every effort will be made to place campers in a similar program. If the College cancels a camp session and is unable to place the participant in a similar program, a full refund will be issued.
Changes in Cancelation and Refund Procedures
WCTC may make changes to cancelation and refund procedures when considering the health and safety of campers and staff. No refunds will be given for campers arriving late, leaving early, dismissed from camp, or unable to attend all or part of a session.
