Architectural drafters work with engineers or architects to create technical design solutions as they relate to a building’s functionality, performance and aesthetics. In this program, develop knowledge of building materials, systems and construction technology to produce drawings for construction from computer-aided drafting (CAD) applications or cutting-edge, computer-generated virtual models.

Intro to Drafting Kit: $90
Any laptop with at least 2.5ghz CPU, 16GB memory, 1080p display/1GB discrete video

How To Apply

Apply online and pay the $30 application fee.
Submit a copy of one of the following to demonstrate your reading, writing and math skills:
- High school GPA of 2.60 or above. Transcript must include completed coursework through the 11th grade.*
- ACT, ACCUPLACER® or GED - 2014 Series (165 or higher).*
- Prior college coursework may meet this requirement in whole or in part. Courses must be in the specific area(s), and you must have earned a grade of C or better (2.0 on a 4.0 scale) in the courses.*
- If none of the above apply, sign up for the ACCUPLACER® placement test.

$44,600 – $69,100 annually

What Makes This Program Unique

Earn two degrees in three years! Combine the Architectural Drafting/Construction Technology associate degree with Interior Design. This dual degree program can only be started in the fall semester. You must submit an individual application for both programs.
Join the Architectural Club and participate in architectural tours as well as social, educational, and service-learning events.
Compete in statewide and national SkillsUSA architectural drafting contests. WCTC has won numerous medals at state competitions in addition to a second and third place finish at the national competition in recent years.
