Description:
Train in the pre-hospital emergency care procedures that will qualify you for Wisconsin Licensure as an emergency medical technician.

Schedule:
Class will meet every Monday and Wednesday, 1:00 to 4:50pm and some Fridays, 1:00 to 5:50pm. Friday classes will meet 2/3, 2/17, 3/17, 4/14, 4/29, and 5/12.
Clinicals:
In addition to class time, students will be required to complete 8 hours of clinical rotations in a local emergency department that will be scheduled based on availability. The 8 hours is structured as 2 4-hour clinical rotations.
Clinical participation requires additional forms and approvals that are conducted through a "Precourse Requirements" Canvas course. Some additional information on these requriements is available on www.wctc.edu/emt under "How to Apply"
Prerequisites:
Students must obtain a BLS Provider or equivalent certification prior to the EMT course. A listing of WCTC offerings can be found at: www.wctc.edu/cpr, please ensure you register for a 531-480 BLS Provider class. A listing of acceptable equivalents can be found at: https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/ems/licensing/cpr.htm.
Requirements:
Prospective students will be required to upload a Caregiver Background Check during the registration process. Instructions to obtain this background check are available at www.wctc.edu/emt, under "Step 1" of the "How to Apply" section.
Attendance at one of the Mandatory Program Expectation Sessions is required for all students. You will choose to attend one of the following during the registration process:
