Fire and EMS Training Description

Please note: There is a Mandatory Program Expectation Session to take this class.

Description:

Train in the pre-hospital emergency care procedures that will qualify you for Wisconsin Licensure as an emergency medical technician.

Extra Info:

Course will meet in person on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 am - 12:50 pm. Each week will also contain 5 hours of independent online content. (75% in person, 25% online)

Students must attend a mandatory program expectation session.  Sessions are via Zoom:

Thursday, May 12, 10:00am-12:00pm      or       Monday, May 16, 2:00pm-4:00pm

Student must complete BLS Provider training or accepted equivalent prior to class.

There are 8 hours of clinical rotations in our local emergency department (2 4-hour rotations) that are scheduled based on your availability. Availability will be requested in class.

It is strongly recommended that students possess a background knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology, and Medical Terminology obtained through prior education.

Due to the time commitment of this class, it is highly recommended for students to cut back to part-time employment while taking this class.
