Description:
Train in the pre-hospital emergency care procedures that will qualify you for Wisconsin Licensure as an emergency medical technician.

Class will meet Monday's and Wednesday's 6:00pm - 9:50pm and one Saturday a month from 8:00am - 12:50pm on August 28, September 18, October 9, November 20, December 4 and 18
There are 8 hours of clinical rotations in our local emergency department (2 4-hour rotations, cost $32.70) that are scheduled based on your availability.
There are additional forms that need to be completed. This Pre-Course Requirements course is $18.60. You can learn more about that here at www.wctc.edu/emt
Students must be CPR certified at the BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer level prior to the first day of the EMT course. See here for courses that meet this requirement.

Several CPR courses are being offered through WCTC prior to the start of the EMT class. Go to www.wctc.edu/cpr to register for 531-480 BLS Provider if you do not already have this credential.
Students will be required to successfully pass a CPR skills competency test on the first day of the course. Students who are not successful in the skills test, will be required to retake the CPR course through WCTC within the first two weeks of the EMT class.
Students must attend a mandatory program expectation session. Students must pick one of the following:
Wednesday, 7/21, 6pm - 10pm, H building, room H106
Saturday, 7/24, 9am - 1pm, H building, room H106
