
PEWAUKEE, Wis. (Thursday, July 20, 2023) – Starting in August, Waukesha County Technical College’s Small Business Center (SBC) is offering a variety of fall noncredit workshops and courses designed for small business owners and entrepreneurs to help them achieve success in new and existing ventures.
Fall classes will cover topics such as start-up basics, business planning, accounting/taxes, marketing/sales and more.
Among the classes offered, include:
- FaSTart Workshop
- Business Plan Development
- QuickBooks Online
- Organize Business Finances
- Law for Business Owners
- Marketing Mastermind
Additionally, the SBC continues to offer the Small Business Certificate program. Participants attend eight specific courses to obtain the certificate; earn a *$335 scholarship; gain free chamber membership, which gives certificate recipients the opportunity to experience the benefits of local chamber membership at no cost for one year; and access to the Micro Seed Fund, which is a low-interest, unsecured loan up to $5,000.
The SBC also offers free, one-on-one coaching to small business owners to assist with navigating the complexities of the business world, as well as access to a network of business professionals who provide guidance on business practices. Small business coach Brent Halfwassen has coached over 600 small businesses and entrepreneurs toward their vision of success by helping them to master the link between what they do and the results they want to achieve.
