Credit Students (Non-Degree)
Non-degree students register with the general public. For dates, see the College Calendar.
Prerequisites
Some classes may have prerequisites. Check the class search. Students must complete prerequisite class with a satisfactory grade, or student may be currently registered in the class. The college reserves the right to remove students from classes upon unsuccessful completition. Pre-requisites may be fulfilled with Credit for Prior Learning or test scores.
Repeating a Course
Students are allowed to retake a course one time if they have previously attempted the course and were unsuccessful, or they chose to withdraw. If a student wishes to retake a course two or more times, they must petition the appropriate Dean.
Course Audit
Students may audit any credit level course.
Senior Audit
In compliance with 1999 WI Act 154, WCTC permits a person is 60 years of age or older to audit a course, with the exception of community-based service class (6000 level courses) and apprenticeship courses. Tuition for audit classes will be waived. The individual is reponsible for course-related fees. The decision to audit must be made at the time of registration. No credit is granted for audited courses.
Senior Audit Requirements
- The student must be a Wisconsin resident.
- WCTC reserves the right to exclude specific courses and suspend the audit option for courses due to demand.
- All course prerequisites and other-related course requirements apply.
- The senior audit option must be requested at the time of registration. Change from full pay to senior audit will not be honered at a later date.
- All senior audits are in waitlist status. Students are notified the day prior to the start of the term if they have been moved into the class.
