Bricklaying and Masonry
About the Program
25-credit technical diploma
Develop the skills, knowledge, and attitudes needed for an entry-level position in the bricklaying/masonry field. Students will gain an appreciation for employer and coworkers relationships, and gain familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and other equipment regularly used by masons. Students will work with mortar, brick, stone, and block and learn to lay, align, and join brick and block to stone and concrete. Blueprint reading, math, and estimating are some additional skills developed through this program.
