815-620 Portrait Drawing

Learn how to draw the human face through the use of photographs, models and oneself. Class involves extensive drawing practice in as well as outside of class. A number of approaches are used to analyze the structure of the face. The goal is to create realistic likenesses. Working media will be magic marker, pencils, various forms of charcoal and pastels. Students should bring a notebook, medium weight black magic marker and a #2 pencil with them to the first class.
