802-661 Spanish I - Practical

This is a beginning course in Spanish for those who have had little or no Spanish. It focuses on the practical use of language in travel and everyday life. The class covers common vocabulary and present and future verb conjugations of regular and some irregular verbs. Other elements covered include: greetings, question words, telling time, asking and giving directions and possessive pronouns. This is a twenty-four hour course. All students are encouraged to continue their study the following semester with Practical Spanish II. Textbook required for class.
