531-407 Heartsaver First Aid
This course teaches first aid procedures for injuries, including bleeding control, bone, joint, and muscle injuries, burns, and specific injuries to the head, chest, abdomen, pelvis and spine. It also addresses sudden illnesses, including seizures, diabetic emergencies, poisoning, bites and stings, and heat and cold emergencies. These are integrated skills that you can learn in a minimum four hour course. The course instructor may adjust some details of the course to fit your particular setting and expectations. The fee includes a textbook and a two year certification card.
