Fall 2014 Semester Courses

510-479D Prevention/Safety and Aging

A series of seven (7) courses has been developed that will provide an understanding of the aging process and examine issues of concern to the older adults in today's society. The target audience is healthcare providers interested in the care of older adults. These are Internet-only courses. Waukesha County Technical College is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Wisconsin Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Each course is being offered for five (5) contact hours. This course introduces environmental concerns such as protection from fire, prevention of falls, and medical concerns such as medication management and care provider issues.
