510-459K Peripheral IV Insertion

Gain skills in peripheral intravenous insertion (PIV) techniques and learn the latest in infusion practices related to PIV insertion and basic fluid administration. Review the basics of IV equipment, administration of fluids and insertion site selection. Practice hands-on techniques related to these skills. This course is designed for registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nursing students with some clinical experience and medical assistants who may be responsible for PIV insertion or maintenance under RN or MD supervision. It may be used as a comprehensive review or as a general course to build knowledge and skills.
