510-459J Central Lines and IV Therapy

Gain skills in identifying and managing various central venous access devices (CVADs) according to best practices. Learn about common adverse reactions, CVAD dressing changes, blood withdrawal for laboratory testing and placement of Huber needles for implanted ports. Review techniques for IV push medications. Hands-on practice will be incorporated in the class along with recent equipment related to infusion therapy.
