Medical office assistants work with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to help make a busy medical office run smoothly. Learn to handle patient requests, develop documentation processing and editing skills essential to the medical office, understand medical terminology and refine basic computer application skills.

  • Evening completion options are available for this certificate.
  • Some credits earned in Office Assistant Medical-Level 1 may be applied toward degree and diploma programs within WCTC’s School of Business.

Credit Transfer Opportunities

WCTC has agreements with local high schools and various four-year colleges and universities that enable students to transition more seamlessly from high school to WCTC to four-year colleges. Transcripted credit agreements provide high school students the opportunity to take WCTC courses at their high schools.
