Helping Your Child Choose a Major

The Career Development Center, located in the Workforce Development Center on the grounds of WCTC, helps guide thousands of high school students and their parents through the career exploration process each year.

Teens can use the resources of the Career Center to identify careers that match their interests, abilities, skills and work preferences. They are then able to explore all types of post-high school options and access current labor market information.

Parents as Partners is a program geared for 7th-12th grade students and their parents/guardians. Under the Parents as Partners umbrella, there are three different low-cost workshop options that all build upon a different step of the career planning process.
