Academic Support Lab

The Academic Support Lab provides supplemental and/or direct additional instruction to students who seek more support in the courses in which they are enrolled to ensure content mastery. Students may benefit from:

Students with diagnosed learning challenges can benefit from prescribed accommodations such as out-of-classroom testing, extended time, use of assistive technologies such as Kurzweil Reader, Dragon Dictate and more.

The Academic Support instructors work in close collaboration with the classroom instructor to make certain that the competencies of the course are met. Academic Support instructors use the class textbook, course syllabi, assignment rubrics, instructor feedback and sometimes, take the courses themselves to determine academic rigor, pace, teaching style and demands of the course to assure student success and retention.

Any student enrolled in a program course for credit is welcome in the Academic Support Lab. We support approximately 130 courses taught on campus.
