English as a Second Language (ESL) Center

The ESL Center is designed for non-native English speaking students to provide them with the extra language support they need to improve reading, writing and comprehension skills. Students can work independently on their personal learning goals in the ESL Center, or they can get academic support for assignments in their program or general education classes.

Teaching Philosophy

"I know first-hand that learning a second language and living in a culture where one’s first language is not spoken is difficult. I also realize that studying or pursuing a degree in a second language is even more difficult. Therefore, as an empathetic instructor, in addition of giving my students good instruction so that they can improve their English skills, I also encourage them and keep them motivated so that they can reach their academic or personal goals."
