Spring 2025 Semester Courses

Women's and Gender Studies

Course Description

Gain an introduction to the interdisciplinary field of Women's and Gender Studies by exploring how gender is constructed and experienced across institutions. Explore key women’s and other gender-based issues and concepts that help you think critically about how ideological and structural power shape our own gendered experiences and the experiences of others. Identify and analyze gender-based assumptions while considering their micro and macro consequences. Apply intersectionality in your analysis of inequalities to examine attitudes and ideologies beyond sexism (e.g. ethnocentrism, heterosexism, racism, ableism, etc.).
